Once I served ‘board a whaling ship
Endless dark storms, an awful trip

Every few days we’d see a sign
Whales to port of Argentine

When we set sail and closed the range
Nothing was there to catch or chase

Miles and miles of empty sea
Damning our boat to refugees

After a month we caught the sight
Strange ocean movements and a light

Aiming towards the parting waves
Readied harpoons prepared to slay

Just as we thought the game was won
50 yards tall, a devil spawn
